Our Story
From a Dutch trading company to a vertically integrated European manufacturer — three decades of setting the benchmark for safety footwear components worldwide.
Who We Are
At Isco, we don't just manufacture safety footwear components — we set the benchmark for them. Our journey began in the Netherlands, where Isco International B.V. was established as a specialist supplier to the global safety shoe industry. Over three decades, we evolved from a trading company into a vertically integrated manufacturer with our own production facilities on the European continent.
Today, our products protect millions of workers across construction sites, factories, warehouses, airports and industrial facilities in more than 50 countries worldwide. The world's leading safety shoe brands trust Isco to deliver the components that sit at the heart of their products.
We combine advanced manufacturing technology, rigorous quality systems and decades of accumulated know-how to produce components that consistently exceed international safety standards. Every piece we ship carries our commitment to protecting the workers who wear them.
Three principles that guide every decision — from product development to customer service.
Every component we manufacture is designed with one purpose: to protect the worker wearing it. We never compromise on safety performance. Our products must perform when it matters most — and our quality systems ensure that they do, consistently, across every production batch.
We introduced a revolutionary injection method for aluminium toecap production — a world first. We invested in Europe's only fibre composite toecap factory. Our commitment to R&D is ongoing — we invest in new materials, new processes and new testing methods to keep our customers ahead of evolving standards and markets.
We view our customers as partners. Whether you need standard catalogue products, custom sizes or entirely new specifications, our teams work closely with yours to find the right solution. Long-term relationships built on trust, transparency and reliability are the foundation of our business.
Complete operational control at both sites — quality, capacity and development in our own hands.
Factory 1 · Established First
Our first and largest production facility is where Isco's manufacturing story began. The Istanbul factory produces the complete range of steel toecaps and aluminium toecaps, as well as stainless steel and carbon steel midsoles — using state-of-the-art stamping and forming lines built up through decades of investment and process refinement.
Statistical process controls run on every production line. An on-site quality laboratory performs continuous testing and maintains full traceability documentation for every batch. Capacity for high-volume supply to global customers without compromise on quality or lead time.
Factory 2 · Fibre Composite Specialist
Our Diyarbakır facility was purpose-built to produce fibre composite and composite toecaps — a technically demanding product category requiring specialist tooling, high-precision curing processes and specific materials management. Having made this dedicated investment, Isco stands alone as Europe's sole manufacturer of fibre composite toecaps.
This unique capability gives our customers a decisive competitive advantage: European-sourced fibre composite toecaps with shorter lead times, no intercontinental logistics exposure, and full compliance with EU supply chain traceability requirements.
Three strategic locations — headquarters, production and logistics — built to serve customers anywhere in the world.
