Fibre composite toecaps are 100% non-metallic — they will not conduct heat or cold, they are lighter, and they pass metal detection systems without interference. Both types comply with EN ISO 20345 and EN ISO 22568-1 / EN ISO 22568-2 respectively. Isco manufactures both, giving our customers the freedom to specify the right material for each application.

Isco is the only manufacturer on the European continent producing the complete range of safety toecap materials — steel, aluminium, fibre composite and composite — from its own factories. Specifically, Isco's Diyarbakır facility is the only fibre composite toecap production site in Europe. No other European supplier can offer locally produced fibre composite toecaps. This gives European safety shoe brands a critical supply chain advantage: shorter lead times, full traceability, REACH compliance and elimination of intercontinental logistics risk.

All Isco toecaps and midsoles comply with EN ISO 20345:2022 (the international safety footwear standard) and the relevant component testing standards: EN ISO 22568-1 for metallic toecaps (steel and aluminium), EN ISO 22568-2 for non-metallic toecaps (fibre composite and composite), and EN ISO 22568-3 for anti-perforation midsoles. Our quality management system is ISO 9001 certified. Full certification documentation is available on request.
